Connect adjacent points to create triangles, diamonds, or hexagons. Each triangle has three equal edges, so repeating steps preserve a consistent scale.
The measurement to know: equilateral-triangle edge length. Row height equals the chosen edge length × √3 ÷ 2. Alternating rows are offset by half an edge to make the triangular lattice.
